Why do we spend so much volunteer time and effort here?

Actually this is more than just a mission statement. This also includes why we would put in so much volunteer time and effort.

This site requires a very large amount of time to handle all of the requests for help and to find & post new ways to save. This is time is spread out among our volunteers so no one person is overloaded. We simply want to help people. This can give us the great satisfaction that often comes from helping others. (Many volunteers report feeling much better about themselves.) If you still wonder why we would do all this completely at our own expense, maybe you should read A New Attitude & Purpose Can Change Your Life!

BTW Why don't you go down to the last forum and find out how you can help? :D
