State Medicaid Sites and other good information

These vary widely from state to state. There is an even GREATER NEED for people on SlashDrugCosts.org to share their personal experiences in this topic than in some of the others.

State Medicaid Sites and other good information

Medicaid helps people who meet their state's specific qualifications. There is a variatioin between states, so do not assume you do not qualify just because you did not in a different state. Also, do not assume you do not qualify just because you make more money or have more assets than someone you know who did not qualify. There are a lot of different ways to qualify so you may fit an area the other person did not.

The National Association of State Medicaid Directors has an excellent site with easy links to the various state Medicaid programs and other state services at http://www.nasmd.org/links.htm#states

It brings up a map of the U.S. and all you have to do is click on your state. It will then take you to the primary state government site for Medicaid and usually other state programs.

That National Association of State Medicaid Directors's page also has a LOT of other great links to National, State, and Private sites with good information.

Another good Medicaid site is Murphy's Unofficial Medicaid Page -- A Resource Guide to Medicaid

Good luck! :D
