SAVE THIS DATE: APRIL 28, 2012 and take back any medications that are expired, you are not using, have been discontinued, over-the-counter medications such as creams, liquids, pills, vials. Any un-used prescription medications.
National take back day is happening on April 28, 2012 in all 50 states. Now is the time to clean out those medicine cabinets, the kitchen cabinets, drawers, shoe boxes, and anywhere else that you may store your medications. And don't forget those medications that are kept in your refrigerator. Every year the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) sponsers a day when you can safely dispose of those medications that your no longer need. It is a great time to clean out and get rid of medications safely and easily.
Remember that disposing of medications down the toilet, in the trash, or down the sink is harmful to every living thing. Plants, animals, fish, and humans. Be humanitarian and dispose of your unwanted, expired, no longer using, and any medications that are sitting around your home. Being vigilant in protecting those loved ones, your visitors, your animals and yourself and dispose of these medications the safe and easy way.
