Re: I'm 60 and unemployed , type 1 diabetic

We really like to hear back from people who are actively working to solve their problems. It also helps us when we are working to help someone else. Note: We have multiple active volunteers who are 100% disabled and receiving Soc. Sec. Disability. Most people are turned down with their first applica...

Re: I'm 60 and unemployed , type 1 diabetic

strt722, You already know that 2 vials of Humalog a month is out of your price range and Cobra is unaffordable. In general there are no price breaks on insulin because it is not a drug (and has no generic equivalents) and there are no incentives to give it away. We diabetics require insulin and the ...

Re: My current drugs

Gennys Mom2, Sorry I have not been keeping up with posts for a while. Here is my take on your medication list. You listed 16 medications and 5 supplements. The total is actually higher because some of the medications/supplements are blends with more than one active ingredient. Usually this many drug...

WARNING - MINIMED #MMT-390 & other Infusion Sets

I just started on a 2 month vacation. The boxed MINIMED #MMT-390 INFUSION SETs were too bulky for luggage so I removed them from the packaging and packed them in about 1/4 the space inside a sealed rubber-maid type container. I put a cotton swap with rubbing alcohol in the top of the container to st...
